Fall also brings reflection and a slight sense of meloncholy, as we watch our snowbirds return to the south, not to be seen again until the the ice is out of the bay.

    This season we introduced our idea of “Low Tea”. Needless to say there were many inquiries as to just what that meant, and yes, there actually is such a thing. Low Tea is casual. Come as you are. Bring your friends or come by yourself. Wear a hat and fancy dress, or come in shorts and flip flops. There is always tea, but the food menu changes. Sometimes chicken salad with mandarine oranges and pecans, sometimes tomato and cucumber sandwiches. We served lemon cream cake, coconut cream cheese cupcakes and petite chocolate ganache cakes.

    Viva la Cottage has always been a creative canvas for me to share with my customers, but since moving into the new space, I really wanted to add someting to the shop that would create a different connection with my customers. A reason to stay longer, and a reason to come more often.
